“What has mattered most in my life ?
My spontaneous answer is : to write a sentence or even a correct word. Which would redeem for me the suffering of living. But it is not so simple because, thus formulated, this statement can give rise to many misunderstandings, starting with the accusation of aestheticism and indifference to action or to life. This is absolutely not the case because I want to express my moral position in this way : a word is the result of an intense life, hard work and a deep relationship with men."

Donation: why ?

You have had the kindness to read my posts and encourage me since the creation of this blog. This work on Greek news and the beyond of the crisis, is a personal and original work in its conception, production, surveys, documentation and financing, without any outside intervention.
Thus, it is not linked to any company or any organization. I also refuse any kind of advertising or promotion on this blog, beyond my own activities, because this is contrary to its spirit and its letter !
Having initiated the “Greece Terra Incognita” project and being in search of new collaborations, this blog, still needs your support to continue in its approach, much longer than initially considered, when it was created in 2011, on the beginnings of the Greek and European crisis.
So, I could continue writing, as I do today, independently.
I refuse to make a selection among you by money. I want the access to my texts to remain free, because I intend to continue speaking to those for whom everything that is not free is too expensive.

The ill wind period

One day in May 2010, the International Monetary Fund, the eye of the European Union and the European Central Bank, broke into our daily lives. The Troika and the “Troïkans” change our lives and our behavior. There is a before and an after. Like in going to war or in an occupation. An ill wind, an ever present poison, putting to death our big and small customs, a rapid collective mutation, underpinned by the loss of our benchmarks. From now on, we are plunging, even in the chic districts, in the bins...
